Naming the resort "Zen Gardens" was no mistake. Set amongst landscaped gardens and swaying palms, you will find a small group of exclusive villas perfect for your holiday.
The Guilland villa is everything you would expect to find in such a resort. Recently completed, everything is new and sparkling. There is 24 hour security at the entry gate to the complex and a daily maid service.
The property comprises, in brief, of a lounge/dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 terraces and a balcony.
Ground Floor
The spacious living room overlooks the front landscaped gardens for your enjoyment and has a sofa, chairs and coffee table. The living room also offers a newly installed 21" Sony TV with all the Tata Sky Channels.
Adjoining the living room is the dining area comprising of a dining table and four chairs. Both of these areas have a ceiling fan for your comfort.
The kitchen contains all the necessities for cooking, eating and storing food. There is a large fridge/freezer available for your use as well as a two ring gas hob with extractor fan, toaster and kettle. The kitchen further boasts a water purifier which ensures that the local water is treated in the same way as bottled water, thus rendering it completely safe to drink. There is no need to purchase bottled water.
The ground floor also contains a large double bedroom with a double bed and a window overlooking the back of the property. Adjacent to the bedroom is the downstairs bathroom. The bathroom has hot and cold running water for the shower, a European WC and sink.
1st Floor
At the top of the stairs you will find a small landing with one door leading onto a lovely terrace that overlooks the landscaped gardens and pool area. This area can also be used to hang clothes for drying on the drying ropes provided. There are 4 patio chairs, a patio table, 2 sun loungers and a parasol for your use.
Off the landing there are a further two doors. One leads you into the master bedroom. A spacious room with a double bed, bedside tables and ac, with french doors leading onto its own terrace that overlooks the landscaped gardens and pool area. This bedroom also boasts an en suite bathroom. The bathroom is a luxury as it has not only a hot and cold shower, but also a bath which is unusual for properties in Goa.
The third bedroom is a spacious room and is available for use on prior arrangement. Is it currently fitted with a cot for a child and makes this property ideal for a family. It further boasts a balcony overlooking the back of the property, air conditioning and an attached bathroom with shower, wash basin and European WC.
Surrounding Area
Despite many years of tourism, South Goa still remains relatively untouched outside of the hotels. There are lots of small lanes winding through the lush green countryside where it is not surprising to see cows and pigs wandering aimlessly across the road like they have all the time in the world! There is a much slower pace to life with quiet fishing villages nestling on the coast and paddy fields with natural wildlife inland. A holiday in south Goa is arguably more relaxed than the north. The beaches of south Goa with white sand and calm sea comprise of Bogmolo, Colva, Benaulim, Cavelossim and Mabor. The peace and tranquillity on offer in South Goa means that many of the self-contained larger 4 and 5* hotels are located on their own unspoilt beaches. The beaches of southern Goa are some of the finest in the world and whilst quieter than the North still offer many beach shacks that serve delicious food as well as water sport activities.
A short walk from the resort is the main Benaulim beach road where you will find all the usual shops and stalls associated with Goa. Whether you are interested in purchasing local crafts or jewellery, you will find it all here. In addition, there are all the services you could possibly need including an ATM, beauty parlour, restaurants, bicycle hire, a GP, money exchange, tailors, Ayurvedic Massage.
Benaulim beach is just under 2kms (about 15 mins walk) away from the property. It is a nice walk with plenty of things to look at on the way. Alternatively you can hire a bicycle for your stay and cycle to the beach. The beach itself is quiet, with designated swimming areas as there is a lifeguard on duty here. The local fishermen still fish from the beach so you will encounter local fishing boats on the beach, all adding to the charm of Benaulim and Goa. There are several restaurants and beach shacks on the beach to ensure that you don't go hungry or thirsty. The swaying palm trees hint at the lovely breeze that greets you at the beach, a welcome respite should you choose to sunbathe.
A little further from the apartment (approx 15 min drive) you will come upon Colva. This is one of the more well known beaches in South Goa. Again the beach offers a plethora of restaurants and sports activities along the long and wide sandy beach as well as several night spots. Colva has also seen the introduction of a Monday night market to rival the North’s Ingo’s Saturday Night Market. In our opinion, the first is still the best in terms of variety and entertainment, but why not try both as they are on different nights?

Included in your price is a twice weekly cleaning service where the property will be cleaned throughout and the bed linen and towels changed and laundered.

You will be provided with a 24Hr emergency contact number of a local English speaking representative that will be able to assist you with any queries or issues.

We are also able to provide you with a local mobile phone that you can buy credit for and use to make both local and international calls. International calls are much cheaper made from Indian mobiles. (Option for the phone must be selected at time of booking via the booking form)

You will find a Handbook in the apartment which will provide you with the house rules as well a guides to some of the things you can do during your stay.
